We are seeking a seasoned Accounting professional, with a strong performance and leadership track record, to guide our Accounting team for the next 12-18 months, during a period of exciting change. As we look at how we can embed technology, automation and process simplification as ways of delivering better business value, there exists a great opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to be part of this shift and support our journey towards greater efficiency and productivity.

The Accounting Manager is accountable for delivering the actual financial results of the company. This role facilitates the profitable operation of VGA by utilising technical accounting know-how, data analysis, business acumen and input into decision making. The role is also responsible for identification and mitigation of financial risks and fraud for VGA by ensuring proper controls in VGA financial processes and associated systems.


Included in this remit is:

  • Providing strong Leadership to the Accounting team
  • Delivering actual financial results
  • Managing the Year End audit
  • Mitigating financial risks
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable
  • Identifying operational improvements and efficiencies
  • Payroll accounting
  • Accounting compliance and regulations


In order to be successful for this role you will require:

  • Strong ability to interpret and analyse
  • Sound knowledge of the regulatory environment and its operational implications
  • A strong track record in leading high performing teams
  • Experience in developing and integrating compliance frameworks into operations
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • A finely tuned attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management practices
  • University Degree (major in Accounting)
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Motor Industry experience, SAP or IDS system working knowledge is desirable
