The Role

We are looking for a data tragic with the desire to use their BI skills to help transform a growing business.

Operationally, the role will be responsible for data, analytics and insights reporting development containing scoping, specifications and creation of automated reports. It will act as a key member of the Business Operations team to provide BI functional support, simplify and standardise data flows and rationalise the data repositories within the team and across the organisation.

Moreso, the successful person will lead business users with developing new operative innovations that will slingshot our business into the modern era, utilising technology and adoption of a new BI and Automation mindset relating to data and reporting management.

Success in the role will be the development of other BI power users, evolving the business in its utilisation of technological tools and elimination of repetitive manual tasks.

Selection Criteria

First and foremost, you must live and breath data and BI, thriving on opportunities to showcase your skills to help others. On top of this, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems Design, Statistics and Mathematics preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Practical problem solving skills with an operational, efficiencies and financial focus
  • Experience with the data management and analysis of corporate processes, applications and systems
  • Experience with analytics and BI reporting tools (Qlik preferred)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions and recommendations
  • Sound strategies in managing multiple competing priorities
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite – MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with various audiences (not everyone speaks the language of data)
  • Collaborative working style
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on documentation
