The Role

We are looking for a CRM and Social Specialist to join our expanding Digital Team within the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles (PV) brand. Reporting to the CRM and Loyalty Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering best practice CRM across targeted email campaigns and lifecycle marketing automations, whilst also driving our organic social media strategy.

Ideally this role is suited to a data lead, customer-first thinker with a creative flair for pushing the boundaries and a keen eye for detail.

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day to day execution, testing, optimisation and reporting of best practice email marketing campaigns, across both targeted ad-hoc communications and customer lifecycle automations to ultimately drive customer acquisition, retention, engagement and conversion.
  • Working closely with the wider marketing team to execute the marketing calendar and deliver on all key product and retail moments with targeted and personalised communications to owners and prospects.
  • Being the lead interface between our partnerships agency and organic social media agency to ensure we are leveraging all key sponsorship and partnership opportunities across CRM and social media channels.
  • Working with our organic social media agency to plan, publish and moderate content across all of Volkswagen PV’s main social channels.
  • Organising out of scope content shoots where required to support the Marketing Communications Team.
  • Developing and updating always on email assets to maintain highly personalised model libraries for lead nurture automations.

Selection Criteria

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business and/or Marketing desirable
  • 2-3 years hands-on operational experience in CRM / Direct Marketing / Social Media
  • Understanding of broad CRM and digital marketing principals.
  • Ability to interpret analytics data, provide insights and propose initiatives that will deliver optimisations.
  • Experience in segmentation and automating customer lifecycle communications.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media channels and new platform trends.
  • Proficiency in using social media planning, scheduling and execution tools (Social Studio, Hootsuite, Metigy).
  • A natural instinct for conceiving and developing engaging and innovative social media ideas and strategy.
  • Strong project/time management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in managing agencies and third-party suppliers.
  • Communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
