The Role

The key objective of this position is to provide operational Human Resources support to deliver the HR strategy. Critical components of this role include – Recruitment for VGA Interns, Supporting the VGA WH&S lead, assisting and supporting the HR Operations Manager with employee records and data migration, reporting, HR communications. This role is also responsible for providing implementation support for learning and development and health & wellbeing programs and providing general HR support to the HR team and employees.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • End to End recruitment for Interns & supporting the HR team with recruitment processes
  • Supporting the VGA Work Health & Safety Lead to ensure VGA remains a safe place to work and is compliant with WHS requirements.
  • Support the VGA HR Business Partners with the execution of HR processes
  • Coordination of annual employee engagement and feedback surveys and engagement initiatives
  • Researching and sourcing current H&W initiatives
  • Records management - we are currently closing out a merger between Audi Australia and Volkswagen Group Australia, so supporting the HR Operations Manager to conclude the migration of data and records into VGA HR systems.
  • Assistance and administration support for VGA’s HR System, SuccessFactors
  • Coordination of our Learning & Development programs and working with our external learning partners. 
  • Provide general HR support including responding efficiently to employee queries and requests /any ad hoc projects as required

Selection Criteria

To succeed in this role, candidates will need to possess the following:

  • Recently graduated in Human Resources or a related discipline, ideally within the last 12 months
  • Ability to deal with confidential information
  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to share own opinions and ideas
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organization skills with proven ability to work autonomously and work well under time pressure
  • Willingness to learn and seek out constructive feedback
  • Be a team player, proactive, punctual, reliable and empathetic
