Duration: 24 month max term contract 

 

 Please note that due to the maximum term nature of this role, successful applicants will be engaged via a Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) approved agency partner and not via VGA directly. Otherwise you will be working onsite/ hybrid at VGA as per typical working arrangements.

About your new Role 

The Group Training Specialist is responsible for  designing, facilitating, and delivering comprehensive and engaging Sales, Aftersales, and Product training programs. This includes brand familiarisation initiatives for the Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) Dealer Network and internal VGA employees. The overarching function is to inspire and motivate delegates, developing their knowledge, passion and expertise for the Volkswagen Group Brands and act as long lasting brand ambassadors. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Design and development of effective and engaging training programs for the Volkswagen brands, the dealer network and internal VGA staff 

  • Deliver Training via both face-to-face and live-online platforms 

  • Identify and understand knowledge gaps in the Dealer Network and design appropriate programs to address these gaps 

  • Adopt global programs and adapt to meet local requirements where appropriate 

  • Balance implementation of International standards with internal requirements and budgets 

  • Prepare programs that balance and meet both Dealer Network and Volkswagen Group Australia requirements 

  • Maintaining high-level of product knowledge within Dealer Networks with typically high staff turnover levels 

  • Manage interpersonal and commercial relationships with external stakeholders/ parties 

  • Identify and understand specific Learning & Development (L&D) requirements for relevant parties. Develop new training and development material as appropriate 

  • Support new product launches with timely Sales, Aftersales and Product training (end-end) 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with travel and accommodation providers (for attendees) 

 

About you 
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following: 

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in automotive sector 

  • Background in Automotive Sales and After sales or Marketing functions preferable 

  • Competent Facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Training and Facilitation experience would be highly regarded 

  • Good understanding of dealership operations and proven, extensive training/ upskilling experience in the development and training of dealer Sales and Service people 

  • A track record in developing and delivering online and face to face training programmes 

  • Personal enthusiasm and ability to inspire others
