Gain hands on experience in our Sydney based 12 month Human Resources Internship contract role position within Volkswagen Group Australia. This role is a full time position based in our Zetland office 5 days each week. During this internship, you will work with the VGA HR Team to learn key skills, be mentored, gain exposure to processes, and contribute to HR projects in a dynamic and ever-changing global business. About your new Role

The HR intern is responsible for the general coordination, administration and support across the HR team. The HR intern is also responsible for assisting with project work and process improvement activity across the team and any other general benefits and perks, communications, updating of records and newsletter generation.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • General administration and support across the HR function for all key stakeholders including being the first point of contact for general enquiries,  administrative duties, purchase orders and other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Management of the weekly HR newsletter and communications
  • Coordination of VGA benefits and subscriptions
  • Onboarding support for new employees
  • Maintenance of WHS certificates and records
  • Assisting and supporting the team with filing, employee records and records management
  • Support of process improvement and HR systems process mapping
  • Assistance across project work within the HR function
  • Respond efficiently to general employee inquiries

 

About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • 1 year or more left of study on an undergraduate degree in related field required (Marketing, Business, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology or similar)
  • Ability to commit to full time work in our Zetland office
  • A can do attitude and willingness to support where required
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and genuinely interested in developing your HR skillset
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including excel
  • Great communicator both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail
