The Role
As a Salesforce Technical Business Analyst, the role will perform the necessary systems and business analysis, focused on the delivery and support of new and existing capabilities in our core Salesforce platform. This role will focus on the improved use of Salesforce in Marketing, Sales, After Sales and Contact centre environment across all our brands, to support quality assisted sales and service interactions with our customers. The role’s primary focus is to assist users to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions with a focus on Salesforce and other enterprise systems and technologies. The role will provide ongoing support to business users on a daily basis and triage the calls to the external Salesforce partner. As a Technical BA, the role will collaborate with business users and external partner to design and develop Salesforce solutions to meet business needs. This is a 12 month contract role to start with - potential to extend.
The main responsibilities include:
- Identify gaps in the existing Salesforce implementation and provide recommendations for improvements to the business & IT teams.
- Identify and gather requirements from users & departments, translating into best practice and scalable solutions by working with the Salesforce partner
- Work with the brands and cross-functional internal team/s to create clear, lightweight user stories which clearly articulate the value of each story.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and other project-related documentation to support internal users.
- Act as a liaison between IT teams and departments, business teams and external vendors, from initiation to closure incl. coordinate QA and UAT processes.
- Identify unused or underutilised platform features and provide feedback and provide recommendations to management.
- Ongoing daily monitoring, troubleshooting and solving any issues that arise with the Salesforce system.
- Ensure proper documentation management of platform
- Develop a strong Salesforce understanding internally and provide subject matter expertise to business SMEs & users
- Liaise with key vendor including Salesforce and current partners to achieve business outcomes.
Selection Criteria
To succeed in this role, candidates will need to possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications or other formal training in IT
- 2+ years of proven experience working as a Salesforce Technical BA
- Salesforce certified administrator desirable
- Ability to translate business requirements into user stories and Salesforce functional specifications
- Hands-on experience on the Salesforce platform across Sales and Service applications.
- Experience documenting the application solution to facilitate ongoing support & maintenance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders
- Capability to ask meaningful questions to extract a deeper understanding of problems and scenarios being conveyed by stakeholders and team members
- Capability to plan and support the planning of work to be completed either by you or others
- Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
- Experience with automotive process & platforms will be an advantage
