About Your New Role

This role sits within the Group Aftersales team at Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) and is responsible for monitoring market field performance to identify and escalate technical concerns to the manufacturer, while providing insights to VGA leadership and the broader technical team. You will support the management of technical campaigns, safety cases, and provide Level 1 and Level 2 diagnostic support as part of the repair advisory process.

This opportunity is suited to a qualified technician looking to transition from the workshop into a national-level technical role. Working across Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, CUPRA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, you will contribute to supporting our dealer network, enhancing diagnostic capability, and further developing your expertise.

 

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 Technical Support to our dealer network across diagnostics, repairs and processes.
  • Utilise systems such as DISS, ODIS and ELSA to investigate and resolve technical queries
  • Conduct hands-on diagnostics within the Technical Service Centre and provide remote support to dealers where required.
  • Support dealers with complex diagnostics, including on-site assistance.
  • Provide guidance on high voltage repairs as a High Voltage Expert (HVE).
  • Identify emerging technical trends in the market and escalate issues to the manufacturer.
  • Support warranty related enquiries, workshop processes and technical standards.
  • Maintain and administer ODIS access for independent repairers.
  • Assist with vehicle launch preparation, including support for press and sale activities.
  • Contribute to effective and timely case resolution to support customer outcomes
  • Travel interstate and internationally as required

 

About You

  • Qualified Volkswagen Group technician (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda or CUPRA)
  • Master Technician accreditation (or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and technical fault-finding capability
  • Experience using Volkswagen Group systems, including ODIS, ELSA and DISS
  • Understanding of warranty processes and dealership operations
  • Knowledge of recall processes, regulatory requirements and the FCAI Code of Practice
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical advice to a range of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
