About Group Aftersales:

The Group Aftersales team is focused on delivering an exceptional ownership experience for customers with Volkswagen, Škoda, CUPRA and Audi vehicles. The team works closely with our dealer network to ensure vehicle servicing, repairs, maintenance, spare parts, accessories, technical support and customer care are delivered to the highest standards for our customers.


About the Role

The Technical Training Specialist role will support the development of technical capability across our dealer network and internal teams. Reporting to the Manager Technical Training, this role is responsible for the design, development, implementation and delivery of technical qualification programs across Volkswagen Group brands.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve technical qualification programs across Volkswagen Group brands in alignment with Volkswagen AG standards.
  • Identify training needs and design engaging learning solutions, course materials and assessments.
  • Deliver technical training programs that build capability and technical competence across VGA and the dealer network.
  • Manage training operations, including facilities, equipment, vehicles, learning systems and program logistics.
  • Maintain and update online learning content to ensure training materials remain relevant and accurate.
  • Support the Technical Support team, Press & PR activities and Modern Apprenticeship Programs with technical expertise and training resources.
  • Build strong relationships with dealers, internal stakeholders and external training partners to support business objectives.
  • Provide regular progress reporting and support training administration to ensure efficient delivery of academy programs.


About You

  • Formal Technician qualification
  • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving ability within the automotive industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Knowledge of Aftersales Qualifications and the broader automotive environment
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Previous experience with Volkswagen Group brands will be highly regarded
